Doctor and nurses from hell

Who needs cancer with a nurse from hell?

Went to the hospital today to see my uncle and hes in the high dependency ward still.
I didnt go in to see him, but i thought at least just hanging around there with the rest of the relatives would be better than just being at home.
Also we had a little Moon cake gathering with all the cousins down at the visitors lounge and at least for a while spirits were better.

He supposed to be much better on saturday but suddenly things took a turn for the worse overnight. And i dunno how hes gonna get better with blasted nurses and doctors on night shift as well.
When amah was in hospital, the nurses are docs were much better man.

Heres the story, or at least what i know of it.

He became short of breath at 4am.
Doc came in and started adjusting tubes, pulling some out, fiddling with others and gave him and oxygen mask.
My uncle started to question them but answers were not very assuring(note this is a high dependency ward where he is monitored 24-7 as he suffered from a heart attack after the removal of his kidney)

His shortness of breath continues and he gets a bit panicky
(I mean who wouldnt be when you are in such a condition. He even thought he was gonna die already)
So he asks them to call for my aunt/his family.
Heres the thing that piqued me. More like pissed me actually.
They IGNORED him and didnt bother to call them.
I mean what kinda nurse/doctor(from hell) wouldnt grant the request?
I mean your patient, is freaking out and wants to hear from his family and you IGNORE him?
What if its his last words?
Hes not on any medication now and is using up his reserves now to recover, what if the reserves run dry?

Anyway this makes him panic more and he starts to struggle and they end up restraining him to the bed.
At 7am + in morning, 3 HOURS from the start of the shortness of breath, they finally call my cousin and aunt to let them know that he is not in the best condition and that he is freaking out. Oh yea and also hes kinda tied to the bed now. I mean like what took you 3 HOURS to call them?

So my aunt and cousin (and her husband) are all down at the hospital and they go and see my uncle and find out all i just described. They also find out that the new shift of nurses and doctors were the ones who had called them, not the nurse/doctors from hell. Thankfully the day shift people were very good and were very helpful.

Unfortunately, with this turn of events it looks like in the end my uncle might end up with staying in the high dep ward for a longer time. Sigh, to think he was supposedly much better yesterday and was expected to go to a normal ward on monday.

Stupid nurse/doctor from hell......

Anyway all i can do now is pray.
